Brent Larson Promoted to Project Manager

Brent Larson has been promoted to the position of Project Manager. Larson also will retain the title of Senior Real Property Analyst, to reflect his subject matter expertise in real property accountability solutions.

Larson’s responsibilities as Project Manager include leading VISTA’s contract work with the Department of Justice and Department of Treasury, as well as the real property asset analysis requirements of VISTA’s recently won contract with the Federal Aviation Administration.

“This change recognizes Brent's exceptional service to VISTA as well as his expertise in real property asset management,” said VISTA President and CEO David Baxa. “Brent has been an important member of the project teams that have delivered a wide range of VISTA’s consulting services for a half-dozen different civilian federal agencies over the past year.”

As the functional lead and subject matter expert for VISTA’s federal civilian agency practice in real property accountability solutions, Larson supports client’s compliance with federal requirements such as Executive Order 13327 and OMB Circular A-123. In that capacity, Larson has consulted with agencies in the development of policy and best practices, and has researched and developed concepts for improved data quality, content management and content presentation. He has authored asset management plans both at the Department headquarters level and at the bureau level.

Larson joined VISTA from private industry, most recently as a regional manager for AT&T/Lucent Technologies. There he provided asset and property management for the company across several Mid Atlantic, Eastern and Southern states, managing an asset portfolio of several million square feet. During his tenure he assisted AT&T/Lucent in reducing corporate real estate costs by over $1 billion in three years.

“Brent’s private industry experience is a boon for VISTA’s federal clients, who are increasingly called upon to establish best practices to streamline their business processes,” Baxa explained. “Because he has worked at the crossroads of financial, operational, and real property asset management issues in private industry, Brent brings a unique and singularly valuable perspective to the work VISTA does for its clients. We’re pleased to recognize Brent’s achievements. He is certainly an important member of the VISTA family.”
