VISTA Hires Principal Consultant

VISTA has hired David Baker for the position of Principal Consultant. Among Baker’s responsibilities are assisting VISTA in the development of an asset management IT practice centered on commercial software applications (including Archibus, Oracle and others).

David comes to VISTA from IBM where he was a Senior Managing Consultant for Global Business Services. Before his tenure at IBM, Baker served as Practice Director and Enterprise Solution Architect for Oracle Corporation, where he was instrumental in major contract wins with the US Navy (NAVSEA Crane) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, among others. He also served as Computer Associates International’s Vice President of DoD Enterprise Management, and Director of Planning and Technology for Marconi Enterprise Solutions, Inc.

“David’s experience is just what we need to continue our growth at VISTA,” said VISTA VP of Corporate Development Ray Summerell. “He has been responsible for the assessment, management, and implementation of enterprise asset management solutions that encompass the full lifecycle management of assets including planning, design, construction, procurement, operations, maintenance, and disposal. He has direct experience with many industry solutions including: Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (eAM), Oracle Property Manager, Maximo, Datastream, FAMIS/FIS, and others.

“I have known and have worked with David for over 10 years. Besides being an engaging individual, David is one of the sharpest minds I know and is a true innovator in creating value-based solutions for customers. His career experience is broad and includes IBM, Oracle, Computer Associates and Marconi (now BAE) and others,” Summerell added.
