VISTA Awarded Nearly $1 Million in End-of-Year Army IT Contract Modifications
Company Tapped for Continued Support of BRAC and Related Programs

The combined value of these contract modifications is $923,000, and includes IT support for ongoing Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) and Army Stationing and Installation Plan (ASIP) efforts.

The U.S. Army has used VISTA for facilities infrastructure analysis and BRAC support since 1988, saving as a result nearly one billion dollars in construction costs. The service saved an estimated $200 million in the first round of BRAC alone.
VISTA also was involved in the earliest days of the development of ASIP, a database that represents the planning populations for Army installations. ASIP is typically used for decision support on military construction, base operations and installation management. Now a Web-based application employed by over 2,500 individuals throughout the Army, ASIP has also become the primary data feed source for many decision processes, including BRAC.
