VISTA Wins Multi-Year Contract with US Army to Provide Facility Assessment Support
Five-Year Contract Valued at $5.4 Million
Herndon, VA (31 DECEMBER | 2005) - VISTA has been awarded a five-year contract with the US Army Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (ACSIM) to provide Facility Assessment Support (FAS) services for the Army. The base year contract amount is $1 million; the entire five-year contract is valued at approximately $5.4 million.
Historically, ACSIM had contracted for FAS services on an annual basis. This is the first time the US Army has granted a multi-year contract for the FAS service. VISTA has provided FAS service to ACSIM on a consistent basis since 1990.
The US Army is continually optimizing spending commitments for real property, to balance facility needs against mission requirements - while also minimizing short and long term costs. Facility Assessment Support services allow the Army to evaluate its facilities and infrastructure alternatives, along with specific recommendations based on those alternatives, for troop stationing and re-stationing.
Fulfillment of the FAS contract will require on-site support from VISTA at the Office of the ACSIM. Four VISTA employees will be on-site, providing combined skills in military analysis, facilities analysis, budget formulation, and program execution and information systems. No additional employees will need to be hired to fulfill the contract.
