VISTA Wins Contract for U.S Army Stationing and Installation Plan
Five-Year Contract Valued at Over $9 Million
Herndon, VA (23 MAY | 2005) - VISTA Technology Services, Inc, (VISTA), a leader in real property asset management consulting, has been awarded a contract from the U. S. Army, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (ACSIM), for continuing work on the Army Stationing and Installation Plan (ASIP) system.
The contract covers a base year plus four option years, for a total value of over $9 million.

Created in the 1980s, ASIP is a database that represents the planning populations for Army installations; it is typically used for decision support on military construction, base operations and installation management. Now a Web-based application employed by over 1,500 individuals throughout the Army, ASIP has also become the primary data feed for decision processes including Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC).
As part of its contract, VISTA will continue to provide direct support to the ACSIM and installation management community -- specifically data integration as well as maintenance of the data presentation and update application. The data gathered through ASIP will be used to generate facilities and service requirements, and will support analysis for efficient stationing of personnel on military facilities.
VISTA will perform the work specified in the contract from its Herndon offices. The company plans to bring on one additional senior military analyst to ensure the proper fulfillment of the agreement.
