VISTA CEO David Baxa to Speak at INPUT Seminar on Real Property Executive Order 13327

Baxa Joins Virginia Congressman Tom Davis and GSA Deputy Associate Administrator Stanley Kaczmarczyk to Discuss Critical Initiative on President's Management Agenda
Herndon, VA (7 FEBRUARY | 2005) - VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA), the leader in real property asset analysis, IT and management consulting for government, announced today that its CEO and President David Baxa will speak in a panel discussion and seminar on Executive Order 13327 on Federal Real Property Asset Management (EO 13327). Hosted by INPUT, the quantifiable leader in government market intelligence and analysis, the event will take place February 25, 2005 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, in Crystal City, VA, from 7:30 AM to 12:00 noon.
"EO 13327: Asset Management Requirements in the Era of Full Accountability," will feature
the Honorable Tom Davis (R-VA), newly re-elected as Chairman of the House Government Reform Committee. Also speaking at the event will be Stanley Kaczmarczyk, Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of Real Property for the General Services Administration (GSA). INPUT's Director of Consulting Services, Lauren Shu, also will provide expert opinion.
"This prestigious panel discussion of legislators, government executives and industry experts demonstrates that EO 13327 is an issue of increasing importance in the public sector," said VISTA's Baxa. "The Executive Order is now one year old, and part of the President's Management Agenda (PMA). Future agency budgets will depend in large part on how well government agencies can comply with its requirements."
EO 13327 requires all federal agencies to fully disclose and manage the financial impact of their real property holdings, to reflect the true cost of implementing organizational missions.
The need for complete, comprehensive real property asset data means establishing information interoperability, data integration, decision support and executive information systems that enable compliance with this mandated requirement.
"Although this Executive Order is as yet unfunded, its elevation in status as the sixth core initiative in the PMA means that agencies must take a hard look at their inventory of real property, and ensure the validity and accuracy of the data related to that inventory," said Alan Balutis, president and CEO of the Government Strategies unit at INPUT. "We're glad to have experts on this topic such as Congressman Davis, Mr. Baxa and Mr. Kaczmarczyk to address the issues and implications of EO 13327 compliance at this event."
VISTA's expertise in EO 13327 has been recognized not only by the media and marketing analysts, but by the government itself. The GSA requested VISTA's Baxa to contribute an expert opinion on the Executive Order to "Real Property Performance Results," a publication produced annually by the GSA's Innovative Workplaces Division, Office of Real Property. The 2004 edition of the GSA publication is expected to be available by mid-February.
