Reducing the Federal Facilities Footprint
Agencies may need help in downsizing at the fast pace that is demanded of them.
Speaking back last February, GSA PBS Commissioner Robert Peck testified before Congress on the agency’s plans for and accomplishments in reducing their owned and leased portfolio. Peck reported that GSA has reduced their total portfolio by 5.3 percent and through this had eliminated $484 million in needed repairs. That sounds pretty good and in normal times, any of us would report these accomplishments with pride. read more...
