• MILITARY DATA ANALYST
  
  

  We are currently looking for a Military Data / Systems Analyst on the Army Stationing and Installation Plan project in the Herndon, VA area. This position is part of a small team maintaining systems that support the development of resource requirements for Army Installation Management activities at the headquarters level. Daily responsibilities require a systematic and analytical person who can anticipate requirements and proactively work to improve processes. Candidates will work closely with a highly professional, results oriented team of subject matter experts and system developers.
  
  Successful candidates should have five or more years of experience with an excellent record of performance in support of technical project teams developing and maintaining DOD data systems. Experience with database management systems, and both graphical and tabular data presentation is required. Experience in support of development and system maintenance of U.S. Army Force Structure systems, Personnel Management systems, or Army Installation Management systems is very desirable. Experience working with Army manpower and force structure systems such as Structure And Manpower Allocation System (SAMAS), The Army Authorization Documents System (TAADS), Status Of Resources and Training System (SORTS), Total Army Personnel DataBase (TAP-DB), or ASIP. Database management system experience with ORACLE, SQL Server, or FoxPro is desirable. An undergraduate degree in a technical field is required. • Database Developer
  
  

  VISTA is currently seeking a talented Database Developer with the ability and desire to design and develop innovative solutions involving ORACLE in Herndon, VA.
  
  The position requires strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL and Web Toolkit. XML/Web Development skills are highly desirable. Experience with data warehousing and BI tools (Cognos, Business Objects, SAS) is a plus.

Therefore, good communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
  
  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 2+ years experience in ORACLE database design and development required.
  
  This primary work location of this position is in the headquarters office in Herndon, VA. Occasional local travel to customer sites in McLean, VA and Crystal City, VA will be required.

• Solutions Engineer
  
  

  VISTA Technology Services has an immediate opening for a Solutions Engineer in Herndon, VA. This newly created position will support the full-solution lifecycle including implementation, business development and customer liaison activities.
  
  The ideal candidate is a technologist in the one of the following business areas; real property, corporate real estate, public works, master planning, building management, or other relevant area. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing CAFM, CMMS, and GIS-based solutions, including software installation, configuration, customization, data loading and conversion and integration. They will be responsible for gathering requirements and providing solution training.
  
  This position requires hands-on experience with the following: AutoCAD, CAFM, and GIS, and its integration to database (Oracle or MS SQL-Server), product customization (VB or JAVA Script), and ERP Integration (SAP or ORACLE).
  
  In addition, the incumbent of this position will have experience with one of the following: ARCHIBUS, TRIRIGA, Autodesk FM Desktop, FAMIS, or MAXIMO.

• Systems Administrator

  We are looking for a Systems Administrator in the Herndon, VA area who can successfully develop and maintain our IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, and voice and data communications. This is a high expectation opportunity position that requires an individual that is self-motivated, well-organized and can flourish in a small business environment.
  
  Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of servers, workstations, and operating systems
  • Configuration of network routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Analyze problems, determine cause and initiate corrective action
  • Develop clear and concise documentation
  • Maintain and execute disaster recovery program and backup procedures
  • Evaluate and recommend IT purchases
  Qualified applicants must have three to five years systems administration experience with MS Windows operating systems, software applications, data communications, operations and networking. Successful candidates will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Associates Degree minimum in the Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience required.

• Marketing Intern (part-time)
  
  

  This is the ideal position for a student who is looking for steady employment. We are seeking candidates who can work 20-30 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am -5:00pm; Monday - Friday. Within those parameters, we can be flexible to accommodate your class schedule. This position will start immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience in the fields of government marketing and communications.
  
  The intern will be exposed to most aspects of VISTA marketing. Some specific responsibilities include:

• Market/partner/competitor research and analysis
• E-Newsletter support
• Database Management
• Experience in Brand development and management
• Supporting Marketing with event planning
• Data entry
• Assisting with other daily operations as needed
Qualified applicants should be a junior or senior level marketing major, with 2 or more academic semesters work remaining towards their degree, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The candidate should have introductory business experience, such as previous internships or work experience. Other important qualities include: Ability to work under short time restraints and produce quality work, strong attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking skills required, self-motivated with the ability to take initiative when necessary, proficiency with MS Office applications, effective oral and written commnication skills, and excellent spelling and grammar.

• Staff Accountant
  
  

  VISTA Technology Services (VISTA) has an immediate opening for a part-time Staff Accountant in our Herndon, VA headquarters. This newly-created position will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Controller in creating and maintaining sound accounting policies and records for our recently internalized Accounting/Finance Operations.
  
  Specifically, the duties for this position will involve all required accounting functions to include AR, AP, Gen Ledger, Payroll, T&E, contracts, and maintaining all BS and depreciation schedules. This person will work directly for the Controller and have the assistance of a Financial Services Administrator.
  
  A four year degree in Accounting with four to five years general accounting experience is expected, however an associated financial degree and appropriate experience may be considered.
  
  Specific experience with Deltek GCS Premier is strongly desired but extensive experience with similar accounting software and a strong aptitude for learning and mastering accounting programs may be considered.
  
  Proficiency with Excel and other office software is required. The successful candidate should possess strong administrative skills, be very detail oriented, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced results-oriented environment.
